Is adding the phrase “challenging” implies that the job is not as easy as it sounds?

The term “challenging” appears in the last sentence of the 1st paragraph: “To become a member of the [Insert Department Name] Team at [Insert Company Name] would certainly be an exciting and challenging prospect.” My expectation is that the position will be challenging, but rewarding. I want the interviewer to think that I am seeking out new challenges, not an easy 9 to 5 job. Simply put, I am trying to create a favorable impression.
